- DO NOT believe the physical world is all there is.
- DO NOT allow things, people, money, time, and a god in the sky to dictate your life, tell you who you are, and give you permission to act creatively.
- DO NOT forget how to use your creative mind, and let compulsive thoughts (your own creations) rule you.
- DO NOT lose touch with the joy of creating itself and sellout to money, acclaim, or allow the limelight to sweep you away. Let Your Light show the world The Way.
- DO NOT lose touch with the heart of your mission, or your creation will become corporate, faceless, and sterile. It will become an unruly, heartless beast without a soul or a pulse.
- DO NOT create unless it’s cool, neato, “for the hell of it,” it helps others, and because it lights you up. If it doesn’t, it’s slave labor, obligation, and empty following of a graven image.
- DO NOT create unless it is already in you. In other words, don’t paint a picture unless there is one to be painted! If you create without this Truth, you’ll create rubbish.
- DO NOT create unless what you create allows you to practice skills. Real creation keeps creating “work” for you, through refinement of abilities. No-one masters it, but it gives “work” for a lifetime of practice. If there are “final products,” or “perfected performances” you’re lost.
- DO NOT get stagnant. Real Creation is Evolution. As the creative process evolves, go with it, even if outwardly you express something totally new. Beware of the tide of the creative process.
- DO NOT fall for physical permanence. You will change. But connect to the intimate preeminence of your presence, that which never changes, and you’ll never get lost in creation.
Be creative, not created nor enslaved by what you create.
