Sweet singing in the choir.

In a choir, when chords tune, there is “ring” to them. It feels locked in, but not tight. The voices aren’t working so hard. The composite seems to do the work.

When chords “ring” we’re talking acoustics – spaciousness, resonance. Resplendence is bright or beautiful. This acoustical consideration, being in tune, and radiating a “locked-in ring” can be applied to living. The saints and sages are often depicted in older paintings with a gold ring around their heads called a halo. This signifies intonation. “Into” is the operative part. Fall into deep harmonic inner peace. Blend, balance, and sense the sweetness of losing yourself in life.

Synergy is the interaction or cooperation of two or more organizations, substances, or other agents to produce a combined effect greater than the sum of their separate effects. It’s this locking in of two that creates zing. How? It’s when the discordant sensation of “me” falls in line. Attitude is related to becoming more aware and more sensitive to the limited nature of “me.” When a perfect fifth locks in, the two notes become one. The individuals producing the sound fall aft of themselves, and their combined effort is brought forward. When this happens, you’ve hit the sweet spot. Live there.

The needs of the group outweigh the desire for attention of the individual. Match the vowel, match the vibrato, match the speed, and match the color of everything. This abandonment of the separate self will lock you into perfect tuning, perfect timing, perfect abundance, and perfect living – as a perfect 5th – an entity that although seems like two is really one. The individuals (or intervals) drop back. Listening becomes primary, singing, secondary. When awareness of the composite opens, the individual closes. What’s left is heavenly accord where we bask in the halo of cooperative, effortless resplendence. Sweet singing in the choir. Live right there in the “ping” of love.
