Set the world on fire. Set it free.

What’s going on when we are glad when our enemies fail? Schadenfreude is poison. It’s a German word meaning “delight” in the misfortune of others. If you have Schadenfreude, it speaks volumes about your worldview. You believe in a win-lose world, where abundance is not an inalienable right of all people. You can’t claim abundance for yourself and wish pain on your so-called enemy.

On the surface, it seems to make you giddy when a so-called enemy fails. This is particularly true of those who you feel have harmed you. But who deserves to be punished? If “they” deserve it, so do you.

You don’t want to be freed from your jealousy by creating more hardship. You simply want freedom from toxic energy that swirls in the body. Does creating more hardship make you feel better? In the long run, it prolongs toxicity. How do you heal yourself? You give to others what they want. You see them in your mind’s eye as being free, healthy, happy, and rich. If your ex-wife is remarrying, send a gift – not a gag gift. A real one.

If everyone in your world is gifted with happiness, unconditionally, then you will prosper, because now we’re all on the same team. You cannot delight in the failings of others if you wish to rid yourself of unease. Seeing others suffer increases unease. Instead, see everyone in a genuine state of wellness. Let them have what they want. Free them from punishing images in your mind. Let them have happiness. That’s what you seek. That’s what we all seek. Give them happiness, success, and wealth. They’re not taking it from you. You must give from a place of inexhaustible love. We all can claim this freedom, but not until we give it to everyone in our world. If you want to set the world on fire, set it free.
