The only way anyone will ever be happy is when they act upon their desires. Many of us have desires that are denied by a false-acting ego. We won’t act on desires for some strange reason, probably because it takes imagination and a knowing of who we are. But the false actor deceives. Denying yourself makes you come across as untrustworthy, a fake.
It’s the person who wants to be rich and who acts poor that keeps themselves from realizing wealth. It’s the person who wants to be in a relationship but acts single that keeps themselves from realizing companionship. It’s the person who wants to be living in a particular way but acts obliged to their current situation that remains in misery. It’s the person who wants to feel powerful, but acts limited, minuscule, and impotent that denies themselves truth. Are you bound to your circumstance?
It’s in the action that we find freedom to be our true selves! How do you act? Do you act out what you don’t want, or do you act out what you want? You cannot act poor and want to be rich. You cannot act single and want to be coupled. You cannot act powerless and want to be powerful. The contradiction keeps you in a twilight zone.
It’s all in the act. Do you act out your deepest wants or your self-denial? The proof of who you are is in the actions and mannerisms that you take on. Act deprived and you shall see depravity. Act single and you shall see loneliness. Act rich and you’ll see money arrive at your door. Act coupled and your mate will walk right in. It’s in the act. Action leads to desires. It’s that simple.
