I often wonder, “Can I live the life I want to?” The short answer is, anything is possible. The long answer is also, anything is possible. The journey in between is convincing myself that indeed, anything is possible.
Before you can have anything you desire or live the way you desire, there is walking the path to being convinced. Think of it as giving yourself permission. It’s through an act of becoming that we bridge the gap between doubt and faith. There seems to be a long road between those two words. How does one become convinced? Through daily practice.
It boils down to how convincingly you play the role. Living the dream means embodying the characteristics of that which you desire. Many people fantasize about a change of scenery, having lots of props, having a new costume, and of living their “dream life.” But hold on. Think of a lottery winner. This would be a sudden scene change. Most people who are thrust into sudden monetary wealth, stardom, and overnight success cannot handle the abrupt change in scenery. The props and costumes changed before the character was ready to play the role.
Manifestation is a rehearsal process. One practices the roles of living the life they want to, now. How would one act if? How would you act if your scene changed and reflected that which you desired? Living the dream means embodying the role, now. Practice being the loving husband. Practice being the concert pianist. Practice being the philanthropist. Practice being the millionaire. Practice being the one who has the life they want. Practice that role until it’s convincing.
Manifestation is the act of becoming. Practice being the healthy, fit, and happy one. You have to play a believable role. Otherwise, your dreams will continue to seem unbelievable until you play the part with conviction.
