What is courage and confidence if not a complete relaxation in the face of fear? The Old Testament is filled with stories of people who walked right up to what appeared as danger and dissolved it with no army, hardly any skills, and nothing but what amounted to rabbit’s feet and magic wands. Joshua had a trumpet. Moses had a staff. David had a slingshot. Elijah had a chariot. These things seem Harry-Potter-ish to me.
J.K. Rowling got herself out of poverty and living on government assistance with a pen and paper. She wrote an epic story. The creative spirit gets you passage. The finite mind says, “Danger, roadblock ahead!”
Walk up to the wall and blow your plastic trumpet. Walk into the sea with your magic wand. Go right up to your “giant” with a slingshot. When you come to the realization that you are a spirit, then, like Thelma and Louise you can drive off the cliff. You’ll develop the most glorious wings as you fall.
If God is a spirit, then God has no opposition. If the Spirit of God is who I am, then I too have no opposition. I can bypass, pass through, or it can pass through me. So-called vulnerability is your superpower. Confidence and courage relaxes in the face of fear and changes the narrative from victim to victor. It becomes see-through, and ghost-like. Words, actions, finances, circumstances – all independent of you. The Spirit of Creativity dissolves the illusion of permanence.
Invincibility comes in realizing you can tell any story you wish. Go to the edge and see. Show yourself that you hold the keys to escaping the so-called prison you’ve created for yourself. You won’t conquer with an army or by bracing yourself. You’ll conquer with your creativity, cleverness, and charm. You’ll find passage by creating a beautiful story of victory.
