Don’t falter. The gut-instinct knows. Trust it.

You simply have to trust yourself. I know that’s easier said than done, but ultimately your gut means something. There have been times where my feelings were insecure, my head was spinning, but my gut-level instinct was telling me to stay the course. Your gut knows, and it can be sharpened and trusted over time. Here’s the key, don’t give up on yourself. The problem is that we’re insecure, and being insecure is fear that your gut just might be wrong and will lead you to pain or loss.

Come back to your gut-level feeling and check in daily. Sit quietly and ask yourself, “Do I still want this?” If the answer is yes, hold steadfast, but don’t get desperate. Your time will come. In the meantime, it will look impossible, like it’s finished and done for, or that something “insurmountable” is in the way. The outside is not your guide. The inside is your guide. Remember – it knows!

I have held steadfast to many things in my life that paid off. Sometimes it takes way longer than you think. Other times, you mistake your gut feeling for some egoic desire. Usually, your ego wants something so that others will notice you or because you think it will bring you some trivial reward. Your gut-instinct desire is a deeper yearning, and it isn’t something you can just “shake off.” It feels more like a calling.

Your inner guide is how the universe shows you the way, so pay close attention. If there is something you desire in your life, not a possession per se, but something that allows you to express love or creativity, hold steadfast. If you desire something that allows you to create, express love, or do what you love, don’t lose sight of it. The fire of passion burns in your gut. Follow it, and don’t waiver from it one bit.
