You are the sign.

Sometimes I forget. I forget how precisely my life works, even in times that feel desolate, frustrating, and barren. Have you ever been there – wondering if you’ve made the right decision or hoping for a particular result? Being on pins and needles, you look for a sign. I remember feeling like that when my best friend was in the hospital clinging to life. We do this all the time – waiting for test results from the doctor, or waiting for news about a job, we beg, just give me a sign.

The result you hope for is never more important than being here to experience expectancy, emotional turmoil, and pins and needles themselves. Is it hard to remember that results are never more important than who we fundamentally are. I forget that the so-called outcome is not me, and that the only sign that I ever need is that I have breath and life in me now. I am the perfect manifestation of creation in action, and I don’t realize the extent of that particular “result.” I am the ongoing unfoldment of Perfection, and no outward result is more important than sentience itself.

You are the sign. You are the shining light, the example, the pinnacle of the Creative Process. You are the absolute perfection of nature. You are at the top already. Your life, your awareness, the fact that you are even here reading these words are the crowning achievement of noncompetitive glory. Don’t let your circumstances compete for top spot. Remember this: I create my circumstances, they do not create me. If you need a sign, you’re missing the point, and you’ve placed your very life outside of the sacred circle that is in perpetual victory.

You’re the point, the flowing handiwork of God in the eternal present-moment. Don’t downgrade yourself waiting for a “sign.” You’re always it.
