Reaching for the stars? No need to chase what’s already in you.

Some people shoot for the stars, aiming high. After a while, their dreams fade because their reach just never brings them any closer. For this kind of individual, distance seems insurmountable. But the stars, like your dreams, only feel far away until you realize what they’re made of. In the very bowels of a star lies the same chemical makeup of your very DNA. In other words, you are stardust, the very substance for which you reach. Put those hands down. Rather, enfold them towards the love which implanted your invaginated dreams in the first place. Embrace them, care for them, and nurture their embryonic form, so they may take root in the stardust of your heart, gestate in faith, flourish in love, and blossom in gratitude.

Some people never get it because they believe their best days are in the “distant future.” How could life be such a thing – a means to an end? All is here and now. What you dream, you have. What you reach for, you’ll never have. Don’t go to outer space to get it; open the space within and let it come from you.

A dream is an instantaneous mystery in utero. You need not reach. Your dreams and goals hatched from the same substance that birthed the stars. Stop hoping for the future. You are the future. When you look into the night sky, look at the stars and say “thank you” for their familiarity, their intimacy, and their closeness. When you have a dream and a goal, say “thank you.” You know it’s in you and so therefore, it will grow from you. No need to extend outward, rather just embrace the intimacy of it. When it arrives in your heart, it’s as good as done. It’s all within reach. It’s all simply within. Nurture it, set it free, and say “thank you.”
