Be a wise steward of resources.

What good is any resource if you cannot appreciate it, enjoy it, use it, and let it go when it’s time? Really, how often does the “rainy day” actually come? On the other hand, some people are wasters. Some are hoarders. But if you carefully examine what you have, most of us would honestly say we have too much. What are you saving it for? I live alone, but I have more towels than I’ll ever need. I have more food than I can ever eat. I have more money than I can ever spend.

You are indeed wealthy, beyond measure. Just you, as a person, are fully stocked, equipped with so much possibility. Yet we always feel like we need more resources. The best resources are not always tangible, however. The intangible resources are far more valuable than money or material possessions. So are you saving them for a rainy day? Or are you squandering them away doing things that don’t amount to much. Most humans are on either extreme, while the rest are making use of their gifts and talents, resourcefully.

Your time on earth was meant to be used. Your energy was meant to be expended. Use it. The body itself, like a jet engine, is meant to move. Start there. Move your body. Your ideas are meant to be followed up on. Your callings are meant to be answered. Your emotions are meant to be extracted and let out. Let your emotions out – scream, yell, beat your pillow – whatever it takes, get it out. Express your joy, let it out. Be fruitful, productive, and helpful. Don’t conserve; don’t exhaust yourself either. Manage your resources wisely. Don’t be stingy, nor wasteful. Be mindfully generous, mindfully giving, mindfully productive, and mindfully resourceful. A resourceful person knows how to make the best out of what is given. That’s the art of living a balanced and graceful life. You’ve got plenty, be a wise steward before you ask for more.
