The voice of stillness speaks with silent tones; lean in to hear it.

You are a vessel of wisdom. You are a container full of energy and ideas. You have all the solutions, all the skills, and everything else you need for solving problems. You are capable. You can adapt if need be; you can change if need be; you can get creative, if need be. But the only way you can access those treasures is to stop, to get still, and to let the silence “speak” through you. You can never access the extraordinary by filling yourself with the ordinary patterns of anxiety. Angst cannot produce results that you desire. Angst produces more of what you wish to no longer have.

The treasures of this world are bound up in the depth and purity of inner stillness. Sometimes difficulty has to arise, usually through a shocking experience, before you open up to that awesome depth from within. That moment when you gasp, taking in the air of disbelief – that pause is the purest source of wisdom. It’s never from the frenetic mind and the fidgety body.

If you can quiet yourself, that’s all that’s required of you. Then, you’ll always know what to do next; you’ll choose the right words and actions; and your skills will miraculously improve. Rightness comes when you frame yourself for it, and take a posture of relaxed focus, guided by motionlessness. Stillness is the portal, a penetrative quiet that leads to that “aha” moment. That sense of being grounded unlocks anything that you want and need. Angst keeps it away. Stillness attracts miracles. It’s from where joy springs forth, for no apparent reason. It’s from where the best originates. The source of all things comes from silence itself. It lives with you, it abides in you, and it speaks volumes, but in the quietest of tones. You may have to unplug, to sit and wait quietly; then, lean in to hear what it says.
