If you have no problems in your life, just wait, one will come. Once you think you’ve figured it all out, life does the ol’ switcheroo on you. What once was working beautifully, suddenly fails. What once fulfilled you and provided so much sustenance, suddenly becomes a drag. The person that you once declared as your undying love, suddenly becomes your worst enemy.
Your tastes will change, your desires will mature, and life will challenge your beliefs. The formula for success is a moving target, but so are you. You cannot be pinned down. Life keeps you on your toes, it makes you become more aware of what is no longer serving you, and that everything is temporary and evolving, especially your mindsets, beliefs, and principles. The allusiveness of life is not meant to keep you on edge. It’s meant to get your attention, primarily to open your mind. That’s what a good educator does, and life is educating you, it’s provoking you. A thought-provoking educator expands the mind, opens it to new dimensions and better ways of thinking.
Your life is a journey towards illumination, towards knowing that you are capable of having more, of doing more, and experiencing more than you think you deserve. Life seems to work better when you set higher goals for yourself and peacefully work towards them. It seems to work better when you allow your beliefs to grow and change too. And it always works best when you choose love. A rigid, close-minded, and settled mentality cannot produce anything of lasting value. Everything that life is directing your towards serves two fundamental purposes: 1.) To open and illumine your mind, and 2.) To open and warm your heart. If you are willing to let life show you those two things, it will begin to show you the treasures of heaven.
