Recognize the ease of today. Stop creating a struggle.

Struggle and complaining do absolutely nothing for you, except work you into frenzy. What feels life-threatening is only a mind-stream of duties, deadlines, worries, wishes, demands, strategies, interpretations, and judgements. If you examine your entire day, there’s not much that you have to do that is much of an effort. Sitting in traffic – that’s easy, but we turn it into a struggle. Getting out of bed, that’s easy, but we make struggle out of it. Most of your day will be sitting, walking, talking, standing, driving, etc. Easy peasy!! Yes there are people on the planet who are going through hell. They are dealing with all sorts of painful or life and death situations, but are you? Most likely, you’re one of the lucky ones.

You’re wasting energy with all of that huffing and puffing and complaining. Even if you have a million things to do, you can do them peacefully, and with focus and ease. You can breeze through what you need to do, and you can do each thing calmly and joyfully. You don’t have to think about your impending deadlines, or how your lack of time will lead to doom and gloom if you don’t finish what you have to do. Come on, really?

You don’t have to believe what you worry about. It’s not doomsday. It’s not Armageddon. It’s not that dramatic, and it’s certainly not life-threatening. There’s not much of an effort today, so don’t complicate everything with all of that mental clutter. It might be a lot, it might be tight on time, it might require some clever skills, but it’s all harmless. There’s no war, and there’s no threat to your existence. You’re safe and sound, so you can just be at ease, you can do things easily, and you can take it easy. What a relief. There’s no need to struggle, and there’s no need to be abrasive. Be at ease, soldier – you can smile and enjoy this day.
