The Highest Harvest

There were times when I felt I was committing “situational suicide,” turning down what felt like no-brainers. Circumstantially, the offer felt too good to pass up, like a free place to live. I was once offered a free apartment – a brand new place downtown with glitz and glamor. The catch? It was affixed to a part-time job that I loved! No-brainer.

It was on an upper floor of an historic building in a city that is cost-prohibitive. One bedroom, quiet, lots of space – secure and convenient. It had all the ingredients and amenities, except one.

I couldn’t make it feel right.

To me, it was like winning the lottery and giving back or tearing up the ticket. There have been multiple times when I’ve had to say no to a seemingly glitzy offer. I’ve had to turn down no-brainers. Just because it’s offered, seems straightforward, or seems situationally obvious, doesn’t make it right.

Heaven is not situational, but what’s right. Only you can say. Your eyes may be wowed by “big offers,” “comfort,” and “ease.” Heaven is an inward vision. Fair, full of insight, burning with passionate desire and direction, unflappable.

You indeed can say “no” to the glitzy, so-called obvious situations that seem to be dangling in front of your eyes, the so-called straightforward choices, the easy money, the no-brainers, and the offers you “cannot refuse.”

Do you cling to what’s right for you, or what’s right in front of you? The insight, the burning desire of doing it yourself and carving a way, mysteriously, is the only vision that advances you to a mind-blowing harvest, upwards into oblivion. Low-hanging fruit is obvious.

If you pick the low-hanging obvious fruit, you’ve fallen for “it.”

If you open yourself to the mysterious oblivion, you’ll be taken into The Glorious Vault, The Highest Harvest.
