We often forget that what is outside of us contains no power. So how could the woman with the issue of blood have been healed by touching Jesus’ garment? Her faith healed her. Jesus pointed this out. He had nothing to do with it.
History says Jesus healed her, in the same way as venerating the cross “heals” you or saying a Hail Mary “heals” you. But that’s like saying you’re in love with your partner. Or someone made you mad. Or you’re ill at ease because of the Stockmarket’s volatility. Or that you are poor because you have no money.
When we’re in newly-formed relationships, a chakra opens, releasing great giddiness, generosity, and lovey-dovey feelings, disguised as a reason – “your partner.” Your partner is a symbol of the love that is already within. When the relationship tanks, or the partner dies, the chakra often closes. And the feeling turns to pain. Another “reason” to be sad – loss.
The woman with the blood “blamed” Jesus for her healing. Or the garment. When Jesus healed the crippled man at the pool, he asked, “Do you want to be healed?” There you go. The crippled man discovered something. His own desire to get better!
If you think Jesus healed, or that you have ever been in love “with” another, or that you are rich because you have money, or you are ill at ease because the world is dangerous, you are trapped in an illusion of the outer reasons, those situs which “contain” your peace, power, emotion, feeling, and sense of security and wealth.
If what is outside of you “contains” safety, the minute your surroundings decay, the chakra closes, and you’ll be looking for another symbol, a savior, or a flowing, white robe worn by “the boss’s son.”
