Cowardly motivation: Making decisions based on limit and fear.

Here’s what stands “in the way” of the coward:

Time: usually taking too much of it.
Money: usually requiring too much of it.
Lateness: usually being too old, too short, too late, too sorry. Indefinite postponement.
Lack of resources: usually money, but could be skill, time, energy, etc. You name it!
Red tape, regulation, and politics: usually inconvenience of record-keeping, paperwork, or laws (or lawmakers).
People: usually not the right ones, not any at all, or the ones available aren’t good enough.
God: usually in the form of some kind of cliche like, “it’s just not in God’s will.”
Work: usually in the form of too much.
Conventional “wisdom:” usually in the form of “that’s what most people say.” “The experts say don’t do x,y,z.” “Everybody knows it’s impossible to do x,y,z.” Asking Google whether you “should.” Statistics. Odds. Too “risky.”
The Economy: usually in the form of “The market’s are down right now, now is not a good time.”
Society: usually in the form of “Society isn’t ready for such an idea.”

Inspired Motivation: Making decisions with an enthusiastic heart. Open the bare cupboard, and “fill it” immediately. See potential!

The Designer has a blank check and all the time in the universe. He turns the dilapidated plantation into a palatial villa “immediately.” No red tape, budget, politics, or problems. Upon its discovery, he sees opulence, tastes lemonade on the porch, and sees his bride coming up the moss-canopied drive in a 1969 Silver Cloud. He closes his eyes and smells the magnolia and sweet honeysuckle whilst hearing the laughter of children in the backyard.

If there is a limit, I’ll show you the coward, ruled by fear.

If there is possibility, I’ll show you the unruly designer who flips a dilapidated plantation into a 3D fairy tale with the snap of a finger.
