How to be poor.

Wednesday, April 29, 2026

If you buy into “someday,” you are in the hell that millions suffer from. The worst of these types buy lottery tickets. If you’ve told yourself that better days are ahead, or that the “worst of it” is behind you, you’ve made a fool of yourself.

We reject what’s right here: an invitation, a text, a “hello” from someone we think is “beneath” us. We neglect who is in our lives now, passing them over for better days. Not these people! My tribe is ahead. My best days are tomorrow. Later, dude—I’ve got better things than this.

No one is coming. No one is better. If the people are not appreciated now, if the home is not appreciated now, and if the life is not appreciated now, the so-called future will also go unappreciated. The cheapskate living in you today will still be with you tomorrow.

No moment is better or worse. No home, bank balance, or stage in life is better or worse. You bring the value. You make the most out of what is. The situation doesn’t make the most out of you, nor does it “take it out” of you. You are the same—more and/or less.

If you believe the future is better, you’ve cheapened today, and you’re as poor as a church mouse waiting for a ghost to arrive. Accept, bring value, play your hand, and be rewarded now—not for what’s to come, but simply for playing.

It doesn’t get any better. Appreciate. The appetite for tomorrow is insatiable. If you believe better days are ahead, then you are poorer than the poorest who fantasize about the jackpot.

How to be poor: Cheapen today by buying into the nonsense that “better days are ahead” or that “your time is coming.” Nothing is ahead. You are the head.

Now, get out of your head and stop hoping.
