We’re here!!

A transition will have been made when the unknown excites you more than your so-called plans. Your wildest imagination cannot formulate what’s real. It’s been said, “If you want to make God laugh, tell her your plans.”

In Jeremiah, we learn something: “‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ says the Lord, ‘plans for well-being and not for trouble, to give you a future and a hope.” It doesn’t say to give you a blueprint. Just a future and a hope. A future has nothing, filled only with enthusiasm.

I used to love knowing the future. It’s boring now. I get it. “The Lord” is me. If you read that passage from Jeremiah, you might be misled to the god in the sky. Your subconscious mind, that part of your imagination you haven’t access to, is on it. Big time. All is a blank. Your future is bright when it contains nothing. Facing the real future, the eyes are blinded by the brightness, clueless excitement – unreasonable.

But I can’t see what’s being planned! Good. It’s like the parents who secretly plan a trip to Disney, load up the minivan, and tell the kids they’re going to grandma’s. Then, as they sleep, the giggling parents make way. “We’re here,” says the daddy. “Where?,” asks the bleary child.

The child is gobsmacked by what she sees – the princess’ castle. She had no idea daddy was driving her to the happiest place on earth. She didn’t know. How could she? Her mind was too small to imagine such a wild surprise.

Your mind cannot imagine what’s in store. But your deeper imagination is planning something great, delivered to you in a package called WOW. It’s when you don’t know. That’s real excitement.

When the unknown titillates you, you’ll know. We’re here! The most magical place on earth – the unknown.
