The gods have been waiting for you.

Our eyes prefer well-defined musculature. An obese body is not preferred, generally. Inadvertently, the eye roams to the fittest, not the fattest. The spirit is also hidden under something, and spirits prefer transparency, or leanness.

Metaphysically, an attractive person has “chiseled out” irreducible authenticity. That which is under the skin is comfortable in the skin. Below the fatted mind is a depth of character which emerges, uninhibited. You become attractive when you trim the veil of fear and ignorance. The spirit of truth shines through, much like the muscles “shine through” the skin and reduced fat in an athlete.

Physical development begins by not condemning, but getting curious about bodily potential. Personal development is the same. Tear down the veil, the ego-centric self which covers truth, and sense the figureless entity underneath.

How do you dig for the “attractive” being that lies below the surface “me?” Choosing to enjoy silence, trial, and endurance, in the same way as a bodybuilder enjoys a squat, a sit up, or a brisk run. Practicing spiritual “fitness” is meditation, journaling, and deep focus. In physical fitness, the muscle is essentially “torn down.” Then, it rebuilds fiber by fiber with good rest and a clean diet.

Get curious about depth. Feed yourself wholesome nutritious information. Doom scrolling is junk food for the fatted mind. Reduce mental clutter and let your guard down. Lean into what scares you, with technical precision and relaxation. Don’t push – endure and relax.

Musculature shows through leanness of fat and translucence of skin. The spirit shows through leanness of mind and translucence of ego. Light, airy, and attractive. Humorous, playful, and loving. This is a lean, spiritual meta-physique. This is what makes you attractive, inwardly. Combine the practice of both inward and outward development and welcome to Mount Olympus. The gods have been waiting.

  1. Thsi ons was SO pleasing to read this morning, and so true. I have never been comfortable in my skin, despite being a gym-rat.
