Gravitas. Sink to the sync.

Friday, August 29, 2025

If you meditate, you’ll learn the mind doesn’t have anything good to say. Gravitas is an intuitive silence underneath a blizzard mind. A descent, like deep-sea diving, is what it takes. As you vanish, you’ll look up at the mind’s clutter and wonder – why? Most of us are living on the ocean’s chaotic surface. Phone use keeps you there. TV and “news” keeps you there. “Busyness” keeps you there, especially the church, which is bereft of depth.

The only place for retreat, to “give it a rest,” is a deeper plummet. The foundation of divine mind is gravitas. The stratosphere of human mind is a swirling blizzard. Church is like this – all words, telling God what to do, movement and music covering gravitas.

If you want to get somewhere, discover solitude and quiet. Learn of gravitas. In this strata of depth lies Truth. Be compassionate with those in the stratosphere of human mind. Become instead, a blackhole and allow your gravitas to deepen. You are an infinite gravitational field. As you plunge, this depth grows and “lulls” others into its loving embrace.

They will experience peace, sympathetically, through your echoing lullaby. The deeper you go, the more likely others are to follow in the feminine spaciousness that you have discovered. A black hole is the most powerful vacuity. Nothing escapes. It’s a depth so deep, so large, so vast – the gravitas of serenity is unmistakably divine. You’ve descended, but you are not poor. You have inherited the earth.

Make room, meek one. Sit silently below the blizzard. You are not sinking to a “new low,” but syncing to divine high. Our churches are defiled and have squeezed out what little contemplative silence remains.

Good bye, sinking one. The mind and church will miss you. But syncing to the depths of your being will bring back to the surface something unmistakably profound.
