Jesus said, “In everything, do to others what you would have them do to you.” The Christians have had it. They are tired of practicing their faith. No-one seems to be getting it. So now, it’s time for “tough love.”
They’ve tried to show us the virtues of Christ, and we’re not reciprocating. Now, they’re going to turn the tables and show us the hard way. They’re going to make us love one another. Time to get serious because no one is getting it. Time to get out the bazookas for the final performance.
The ego puts on a happy face and shows love until the other wont budge. The ego tries smiling 8 times, and when the other won’t, it’s time to get serious! “Did you not see me smiling at you, you stupid bitch?” “Don’t you know it’s common courtesy to smile back?” “I smiled at you 8 times.” “When will you learn the Golden Rule, you filthy piece of trash?”
Do to others as they would do to you, even if they are violating you; even if they are cheating on you; even if they are lying to you, laughing at you, or spitting on you. Sounds like the Christians have given up. Their faith has been tested to the brink, and they have lost their patience.
Love unconditionally until you can’t take it anymore? The rule always applies, and the practice is unending. It’s time to end practicing and put on a final performance, people. Let’s show those bastards the King of Kings. We’re tired of practicing. It ain’t workin. Time to resort to violence. We won’t show them by our unconditional love and faithful practice, we’ll show them a thing or two, who’s the boss. That’s the New Christianity. Or maybe it’s always been that way. Such little tolerance for practice.
