Inherency and Inheritances.

Giving works. You can give from the heart, which is unconditional, and you will receive inherency. You can give from the ego, which is with strings attached, and you will receive an inheritance. Only one of these “sticks.”

The word inherent is from Latin inhaerent– ‘sticking to.’ Inherency satiates. However, an inheritance doesn’t satisfy. It is a symbol of inherency. If there is a string attached to giving, there will be a string attached to receiving. And that string will “pull,” causing psychological pain when pulled out of your life. However, if there are no strings attached, no pull, no resistance, no pain.

A pat on the back, fame, money, or even a critique is an inheritance. An inheritance is a byproduct, a symbol of something more valuable. The real product is in producing, or giving love, which cannot be exhausted. You can produce love – squeeze it out, and a deeper love emerges within. You can give unattached, merely because of the inherent nature of giving. Even if it yields no inheritance in form, the formlessness of wealth is now. No feedback. No recognition. Nothing. The virtue of wealth without strings is immediate, instant karma, free and clear giving. No expectancy, and it’s done and over. Give thanks for the inherent fulfillment, now.

The true value of giving is inherent. The inheritance is not primacy, the inherent is. Intrinsic value is wealth. Jesus, once again, was correct. It is better to give than to receive. Reception goes with giving. Which is it, intrinsic or extrinsic? Seeking wealth in giving for the inherent joy that giving gives is different from seeking wealth extrinsically. The inherent joy of giving unconditionally “sticks to your ribs.” Seeking conditional inheritances keeps you hungry. You can’t eat a symbol. An inheritance is a symbol of something far more valuable, intrinsic, and immediately “given” upon giving.
