In economics, there is something called supply and demand. When consumers demand, supply gets fishy and often dries up. Supply might meet demand, but not before profits fall.
Not long ago, there was a frenzied demand for used cars and prices skyrocketed. This demand has slowly subsided, and now used cars seem to be abundant and more affordable. When supply exceeds demand, prices fall. When demand exceeds supply, prices rise. If prices can’t adjust, shortages or gluts can occur.
In our own lives, demand seems to make shortages. And with shortages, we paw, we frenzy, and we hoard. Demand seems to perpetuate the perception of shortage. And this is where most humans live. We live in a demanding state – grabbing, competing, and frenzied. We are unaware of our own paranoia, which manifests as demand and adds to the illusion of lack.
Demand transmutes when you see it doesn’t “make” supply. You are supplied. In time, you will learn that your everlasting supply is Source – the foundation of who you are. Spiritual economics is realizing the perpetuation of supply within, even if it looks dry, decayed, and withered without. Through a commanding spirit, all things are done. Through a demanding ego, everything comes apart.
A commanding spirit doesn’t betray The Commander. You won’t paw. You won’t settle for what you can get. You’ll have no sense of thievery. You will only settle for what you want, which is an inner truth that cannot and will not betray itself.
Are you the supplier or the demander? You’ll know which one you are if you are content with what you have and how things are now. When you’re the supplier, what demands do you have? Let others paw. They don’t understand. You demand nothing because you command nothing. You are commanded, you are supplied; but not with an ironclad fist, but with unwavering trust and unconditional love.
