Stop kicking and screaming.

When you are born, you’re a confused, innocent child. When you die, you are a confused, innocent adult. You seemed to have been plucked out of the birthing canal kicking and screaming. Is that how you want to go to the grave, too? At what point did you think you could have control, manipulate, and fight what you were born into and born from? This is where our journey begins and ends – the journey to escapism, realizing there is nowhere to go.

Escapism is a get-out-of-jail mentality. But what you don’t realize is that you were born without choice and remain that way. The illusion of choice gives us the notion that we can escape our condition, when in fact, there is no such thing. You are the condition. We believe that the impingement of life is a burden. In a way, it is. But you try to escape, only thrashing on the leash.

We are to wake up and to realize that the tension we apply to life is as futile as a dog pulling on her leash. Escaping with drugs, alcohol, food, and “work” is only turning us off. What turns you on is compliance, surrendering, and cooperation. It’s a total immersion and acceptance that frees you. It’s not will, but willingness that blesses you. It’s realizing who you are, The Master in disguise, and it’s realizing what the fullness of life is about – unconditional love, surrender, and acceptance. Your joy begins in ignorance and flowers eternally in wisdom. Your journey begins and ends in realizing innocence, ignorance, and submission to a higher authority.

Would you like to continue kicking and screaming? You’re not going anywhere except back to where you came from. Best to give up on the notion of “my will.” You cannot escape who you are. The kicking and screaming has got to stop. Then, things will flow.
