If you find yourself living the same day everyday, you think the same thing everyday. I recently asked my partner if he wanted money, and he responded, “Sure.” I then asked, “How much?” He responded, “I need to buy a new car.” He really didn’t want money, he wanted a new car. Isn’t that something. His imagination is slightly off. Time to get specific.
“Do you want money in your life?” Then how about $2.5 million in annual income? Let’s start there. That’s $208,000 monthly. Working M-F, that’s $10,400 daily! Did you ever consider receiving an income of $10,400 per day? Working 8 hours M-F that comes out to a whopping $1300 per hour. Who wouldn’t love to earn that?
Isn’t it fun to dwell in the math? It’s fun to push yourself to conceive of wild scenarios. Imagine renting a large yacht and inviting whomever you wish for a week-long getaway to the Caribbean, all expenses paid by you. Imagine looking in the mirror at a gorgeous physique, or taking working with a famous architect to design your dream home. It’s just so hard to imagine, or so we think.
Why is it so hard to imagine flying first class, eating in the world’s finest restaurants, buying a plane, or chartering a yacht for your friends and family? Why is it hard to imagine winning a Grammy or meeting a major figure like Oprah Winfrey? I think it’s hard to imagine because we simply don’t spend the time pushing our imaginations. Imagine if imagining were easy. I suppose more people would do it and would have the time of their lives seeing things materialize. But I suppose thinking the same thing everyday is OK too. To each his own.
