Covered bridges, walking through the map of faith.

In a trip to the supermarket, you can foresee how that happens before you begin. There are no gaps. You know the route, where things are, etc. My success rate of getting to the supermarket is 99.9999%. I operate on the assumption that I can “always” get there. You can “always” get anywhere.

The brain is a complex network. The ability of neural networks in the brain to change through growth and reorganization is called neuroplasticity. As soon as you have a desire, the brain builds bridges to the desired outcome. What kills the network is doubt – not having the ability to foresee. What activates it is belief (pure assumption). Once the inner network is strengthened, the outer network begins to crystalize.

What keeps us from taking action on “bigger” desires is the complexity of the network that it takes to get there. A trip to the supermarket is simple to map out. A trip to becoming the owner of a Fortune-500 company – a whole different matter; but the principle remains the same. The map will get you there even if the entire route is unseen.

The bridges of incidences are created in totality. We are not privy to totality. When gaps are filled in, along the way, we call those incidents “coincidences.” The “co” is the Great Unknown partnering with the Great Known. You are a cooperator with what you fear!

Once your desire strengthens, parts of the network light up, but not all. Shrinking back is being a co-conspirator of fear. Stepping out is being a co-creator in faith. If you can make it to the supermarket, you can make it anywhere. The unknown sections of the map are also part of the prize, they are co-incidental. Those darkened areas just happen to be covered bridges. The question is, are you willing to step out even when the path is covered?
