In theory, breathing is easy.

When you meditate, you quietly observe yourself breathing. I’m not sure why drawing attention to the breath is advised, but I think it’s because the breath represents a fundamental truth – the easy principle of unlimited supply.

We don’t fear a lack of air. We don’t even think of it. If we thought air was lacking, we’d hold the inhale. We’d hoard. But we must release, trusting there is more to be had. Is the inhale just as easy as the exhale? In breathing, taking in is just as easy as letting go, at least in theory. But how does the principle of unlimited supply work in your life?

Is losing weight harder than gaining it? Is earning money harder than spending? Is making a friend harder than losing one? Is finding love harder than a breakup? The principle of supply is that it all comes and goes, but it’s your fear that restricts flow. Are you holding your breath or gasping for air?

Restricting flow is a perception of holding or avoiding. It’s all moving, so free it up. Staying fit is as easy as being lazy, if you believe it. Earning friends and allowing them to go is easy, if you believe it. You exhale just as easily as you inhale. You trust it so much, you don’t even think about it. You take in and let it go with no thought if there will be more or less. You don’t have to eat like it’s going to be taken away, or that its naughty. It’s easy, remember? You don’t have to hover over your loved ones, for fear they’ll be taken. You don’t have to hoard. You can give it away. Do you believe in unlimited supply as easily as you breathe? We have a lot of people in this world who have trouble breathing, but in theory, it’s supposed to be easy.
