You are creating your future when you worry about it. I’ve heard people say, “I’ll leave it in God’s hands,” or “It’s all up to fate.” I don’t trust fate, and how do you know that your hands are not the tools that God uses? My imagination is real. My hands are real. I’m going to use what’s real to create the future that I want, not the one that fear kicks up or that fate and “God’s hands” deliver me!
In a parable, Jesus talks about the lilies in a field and how they don’t spin and worry about the future. Worrying feels rushed. Besides, you cannot rush through a field of flowers, the brush would trip you. You have to stop and notice with care. Worry carries a sense of carelessness. If you’re frantic your future is being jeopardized. If thoughts are rushing past you, they’re likely worrisome.
Sit quietly and clarify your vision. Creative flow is relaxed. A few minutes in the morning can have a huge impact. Plan gently and confidently for your success today, tomorrow, and into the distant future. Formulate quiet ideas, ones that bring you a smile. Worrying is random repetition, an unease generated from the top of your head. Success is intentional repetition, affirming peace from deep within your center of confidence. Both are creative forces, so envision with care. A vision needs incubation and constancy. It must unfold deeply and be repeated affirmatively. Your future is being created by all thoughts. It’s just that envisioning needs more settling. Let your visions of success sink down into your spirit, until they feel like truth. Don’t let worry contaminate them. Protect your unfolding vision, and let the momentum begin to penetrate your subconscious until it becomes a deep-seated belief. When you do, there will be no stopping its appearance in your life.
