Big things start with tiny notions. You have to take the bait and go for it, but we take the debate, stuck in vacillating scenarios from best to worse-case. Debate is one side of the mind condemning the other – what lunacy! Anything you desire begins with action. That’s the secret of productivity. Debate is a stalling tactic, prompting you into perpetual inertia.
A step forward has to be taken when things in your mind are unformed. You’ll never feel ready. You’ll never feel like it’s time. You’ll never feel like you have everything that you need. You’ll never feel like you’ve got the whole picture. But that’s the nature of co-creation. The co-creative process feels premature. Otherwise it wouldn’t require faith. To the universe, the whole picture is already a done deal, and you don’t need to worry about a thing. You’re taken care of, and an initial action need not be feared. You must progress confidently towards your goals. Debate is progress towards your fear.
Occasionally you might encounter a great, spiritual “download,” where a novel, a major idea, or total inspiration overcomes you to the fullness of your desire. But that’s rare. The universe sets you up with a morsel. That prompt is merely an inkling, a hunch, an unformed entity, like an embryo. Take the bait. It’s not a trap. Make a slight, initial movement, then the universe will do its part to sustain you. Reach into the stream of inspiration by dabbling, mumbling, or fumbling with a child-like, joyful curiosity. But that always means action, first. Who knows, it might grow into a golden egg, but you have to take the bait. If your dream is to become a writer, your part might just be to start typing a few words. It really could be that simple.
