Nobody has experienced life exactly like you have. Your unique perspective opens a window into a tiny aspect of truth that only you know. Your vantage point allows access to lessons and ideas that others cannot see. Your experiences, failures, and successes unlock tiny secrets to the way the universe works, only privy to you. The problem is, many don’t see their experiences as vantage points. They see them as disadvantages, fodder for stories of “woe is me.”
Your life is a bird’s eye view, valuable lessons of people, time, space, failures, successes and so on. That view could help others navigate the tricky parts of being human. Your particular upbringing, and your specific path is a gift, the gift of perspective. What if you could skim off the wisdom of that path?
Great people have used their stories for the betterment of humanity. On the other hand, some have used what they know to take advantage of others, to get wealthy, or to assimilate power. But the universe allows that, too. It’s when you use your vantage point to become helpful that you really see life expand in miraculous ways. People take their vantage points and make products that help others; they start businesses that provide valuable services; or they teach by writing books, performing, creating art, or speaking. Your vantage point is a potential means of helpfulness. Most of us express complaints about circumstances, rather than finding ways to help through what we’ve learned about our circumstances. Your story might be something the world needs to hear, but not if you’re a victim of it. Your perspective could teach millions how to become more self-reliant. Every life has a unique vantage point, a keyhole into the solutions. Collectively, that’s how big problems are solved. Find the advantage of your unique view. Someone could benefit from your lessons, but not if you’re just selling sob stories.
