You cannot resist growth, but there’s an art to becoming more mature. There’s a finesse to advancing in this world, and it takes a while to learn how promotion really works. Real promotion comes when you begin wanting more of the right kinds of things – more love, more compassion, more understanding, more wisdom, etc. When you start searching for more ways of being a better version of yourself, life has a way of promoting you, without you even trying.
Pursuing tangible results like more friends, more clients, more contracts, more rank, more experiences, etc. only prevents you from the nature of a more meaningful kind of maturity. There’s an art to advancing, and if you want real promotion, you have to be promoted by others. They promote you because you have charm, charisma, and because you are likable and helpful. Life promotes those whose primary goal is to help others grow into their fuller destiny.
Achievement is a struggle if you are trying to add numbers to your bank account, to add rank in your career, or to land more subscribers on your YouTube Channel. It’s possible to get those things, but keeping your target on the mathematical kinds of “more” can be gritty. Why not do it the easy way? Well you can, if only you would focus on growing in the qualities that make you a better person, first. Become more compassionate, more loving, more understanding, more willing and more helpful. That’s the more that you’ve been in search of, anyway. The art of advancing is subtle, but it’s almost entirely related to how you treat others and how you develop your character. Shift your focus to the right kind of growth, the kind that makes you a better, more understanding and patient person, and you will be promoted in ways that will blow your mind.
