If you think you’re winning, when you leave others behind, you’re actually losing. If you think you’ve won because you have more than someone else has, that’s not it either. If you think you’re winning by being kind to “important people” and dismissive to “unimportant people,” that’s simply being two-faced. The only way to truly win is by bringing others with you to the winner’s circle.
You have something that others could benefit from. You have gifts, leadership potential, or ideas that would make someone’s life better. You have a solution for someone’s problem. You have compliments for someone who needs a boost. You have some extra money to share, or some time to give. You have a book to write, or a service to provide. You have information that would be helpful to others. You have something creative to share. You have an impulse to volunteer. You have a business idea for a product that would improve life. Having gifts, time, skills, resources, and not sharing them to help others win is the epitome of losing.
When you help others become successful – that’s championship, gold-medal winning. A winner makes winners out of everyone else. A winner accepts and gives compliments. A winner says “thank you,” and “you’re welcome.” A winner is eager to brighten someone’s day, to offer other’s help, or to say some positive words to someone who feels like a loser. A winner makes people laugh when they are down, and shows others a reason why they are worthy of more than they think they are. A winner has a positive, self-disposition in front of everyone. If you want to win in life, be a winner, and make winners out of everyone else. If you do this, you simply can’t lose.
