Everyone wants something instantaneously. But real life doesn’t work that way. Worthwhile dreams take time, acquired skills take time, and you don’t control time – the universe does. The only thing you have any control over is whether or not you actually get started, or that you devote some amount of time to your goals. But time in general is kind of irrelevant to the universe. It takes its good old time to do what it wants, after all, it took billions of years to form you. So what’s a few more years to wait for your dreams to come to fruition?
It may seem like other people have accomplished so much in what appears to be “overnight” success. Social media makes it appear that other people’s lives are explosive with momentum, milestone victories, and instantaneous good luck. But it’s just not true. Nothing worth having is manifested that quickly. How else would you explain the rise and fall of lottery winners?
We are all riding the wave of perfect timing. You have to trust that time is on your side, and that you’re not running out of it. The so-called waiting period is just a means of preparation. It’s a way of getting you ready. While you’re waiting on what you hope for, just enjoy your day. Who knows, that breakthrough you’ve been hoping for just might happen today. That person you’ve hoped would walk into your life – they just might appear today. But if not, there’s more joy in waiting expectantly, peacefully, and assuredly tomorrow. Immediacy is overrated. Joyful expectation is more exciting. Be joyfully expectant today – expect the perfection of diving timing. Don’t get pushy or impatient, allow time to unfold in perfect unison with your peaceful, receptive, spirit.
