If you are bored, anxious, or concerned, you are creating those states of being. Those emotional conditions are not being created by others, or by your circumstances, although many of us think they are a result of what happens to us. But they aren’t, but neither is joy. Negative states of being come from lies that we tell ourselves and others, like: “I’ll start tomorrow; Only time will tell; Just this once won’t hurt; It’ll all be over, soon; If I could just make it through this or that; or, It will get better.” Any statement or imagined condition that makes the present moment a problem, creates a sense of dissatisfaction and irritation within yourself.
Anytime your sense of wellness or joy is projected onto another moment in time, is dependent on another person’s reaction or feedback, or is placed in a wish for a change, it’s wrong. How? Because it creates sadness, irritation, frustration, and/or boredom. Wrong choices and wrong thinking always lead towards negative emotional states.
Knowing what’s right comes from being peacefully aligned with present reality, grounded in the truth that there is no other place to go, and that there is nothing else that you can do now, to improve the present moment. Doing more of what’s right is predicated on connecting to an intrinsic joy – the joy of just being, the joy that comes from being comfortable in your own body at all times. That particular joy is not result-dependent, it waits for you, it’s born in you. A false sense of joy is created by a mental and conditional projection that never arrives. You can stop creating what’s wrong in your life by connecting to full acceptance, complete alertness, and peaceful alignment with being. And it can happen right now, at this very moment. After all, the present moment is really all there is – so stop postponing it, projecting it, and waiting for it to “bring you” wellness and joy. It’s already here – so do more of what’s right.
