Receiving the gifts of now – the posture of the future requires openness.

If what you have desired hasn’t arrived, it doesn’t mean game over. It will never be over. How do you know that conversations are not being had on your behalf, “behind the scenes.” How do you know the right partner is not on his or her way to you? How do you know the right job wasn’t just been vacated for your benefit? How do you know that idea that you have won’t fulfill a need? How do you know the future? The future is unknowable, and totally impossible. But doubts are easy, and totally knowable.

The universe hears your thoughts. If you have already thought that something was destined to fail, then you’ve closed the door before it even had a chance to evolve. I say, always leave the door open, create a open space for possibility. Palms open, arms ready to receive – this is the posture of a prosperous future. It’s not sitting impatiently, arms folded, mind closed, case shut.

Possibility requires openness and receptivity. Impatience is a closed posture. The future is shut out for an impatient person. But who are you to place the limit of time on an infinite, timeless universe? In some form, it’s already here, and you should be grateful. In some form, you already know you’ve got this, and it’s yours for the taking. Own what little you have of it, even if it’s just in the form of an idea. It’s in seeing what you already have that gets you to the so-called finish line. Let the rest come to you, on its own timing. Besides, it’s already on its way, because the process has already begun. Trust means open hands, open heart, open timing, and open mind. Doubt means closed hands, closed heart, time’s up, and closed mind. Remember, it’s already here in some form, so open your heart and mind, give it all the time it needs, and stop being so impatient.
