Nothing is more motivating than being accepted. As herd animals, being accepted by a group is the most fundamental of evolutionary, human needs. Being a member of a team is paramount to good mental and physical health. But are you alienating yourself from the human collective? Do you think that you’re on the outside of having any valuable traits, unique skills, or attractiveness?
You’re not on the outside of the circle. You are part of the oneness of creation. You’re not an alien, scrutinized the way you think you are. Truthfully, you’re admired. You’re respected. You’re seen as attractive, kind, and super smart. Maybe it’s time to see your own intelligence, your own beauty, and your own praiseworthiness. If you feel like life has rejected you, it’s only because you have rejected yourself, by thinking that you are different or at the bottom in the group hierarchy.
Come back to the herd. Embrace, forgive, accept, and welcome yourself as a bonafide member of the club – the society of wacky human beings who think and feel everything that you think and feel. There’s not an experience nor an emotion that you have had, that others have not experienced – some, far worse than you. The collective has experienced the torment of life’s challenges. The collective has suffered enough. Hold yourself in higher regards, and join your other “teammates” on the planet. Be tolerant and inclusive with others, but practice these principles of acceptance on yourself. No one deserves exclusion. Your life is your birthright, and so is everyone else’s. Exclusion from your birthright to be happy is only your mind playing dirty tricks on you. Self-acceptance will open up so much more joy, if you would just join the club. You already have the qualifications for membership. No more initiation period – we’re all in this together.
