If life isn’t “working out” for you, then trust that it’s “working in” for you.

Fulfilling desire (doing what makes you feel alive inside) is an integral part of living a meaningful, happy, and productive life. But our desires are often unknown until we experience that which we don’t like very much! Your inner desires and preferences are being extracted from you, as you experience the “good” and “bad” of your reality. It’s as if reality is a custom-made teacher, suited to your specific tastes and ultimate benefit. Faith is in knowing this truth, and falling in love with the great, universal teacher – not obsessing about the outcome.

Your faith can be strengthened every time you fully accept and befriend reality’s recipe of experience – good and bad. If you fully accept reality as a process, rather than a hope for an outcome, you’ll become more resilient to potential disappointment as you mature. If life doesn’t seem to be “working out” for you, trust that it’s “working in” for you, for deeper understanding of who you are. Life is always working inward, towards helping you improve the internal condition, rather than just myopically focusing on the outer circumstance. Faith is a trust in the inner workings of who you are, through the outer experience of learning.

Keeping yourself mindful of this inner, growth process is so vital to self improvement. Faith grows in the knowledge that the universe is designing the best outcome for your particular learning needs on your particular journey in time. Keep mindful that reality is a custom fit, but it’s evolving too. The more you accept this, the easier life is to digest, especially in difficult times. The contentment of faith is knowing that reality is exactly as it needs to be, in the present moment, and that it’s always moving you towards your greater good. If you want it to get better, fully accept the life you have, befriend your reality (don’t hate it), and as the inner journey improves, so shall the outer.
