You’re not just aging, you’re advancing, so be ready to surrender to the unpredictable. Promotion comes when you’re ready to accept that you cannot stay where you are, forever. You can’t be a child forever and expect more responsibility. You can’t be mediocre forever and expect favor. You can’t make everyday look the same forever and expect different results. You cannot hold onto destructive habits and poor ways of thinking and expect improvement. We’re all meant to advance, not to be in perpetual stagnation. Join forces with growth, open your mind. Don’t let it frighten you, let it delight you, and let it take you to places that you never dreamed of going.
When you become willing to take on the responsibility of being a leader in this world, new things will happen for you. A leader knows that something greater is working in their life, something that compels them to be a more effective person. When you get excited about positively impacting others with your skills and talents, the universe advances you with more – more responsibility, more favor, more influence, and ultimately, more blessings.
Humans grow forever, into a limitlessness, not into a perpetual sameness. Life simply won’t let you remain the same. You will eventually have to surrender to what compels you to grow. But first, there must be a sense of maturity within you that welcomes that advancement, not one that resists it or ignores it. Surrendering to the humbleness of becoming a better person, having the graciousness to accept new leadership responsibilities, and trusting in your confidence, will bring you to new levels of advancement in your life.
