The voice of reason is within.

Everyone else will tell you how “unreasonable” you are if you follow your own, inner voice of reason. You have to follow your own North Star, perhaps quietly. If you try to follow in the footsteps of another, it will lead you to confusion. If you kowtow to the wishes and petulant demands of others, you simply fail yourself. It’s perfectly good to be of service, but not if you haven’t the resources to give them. If you don’t have the interest, the skills, the knowledge, or the money, how could you ever be “helpful?” You are not full of help (abundant resources), if you are in lack of what you’ve been asked to give. What little there is, you’d merely be giving fumes and leftovers. The helpless cannot be helpful.

The path to overabundance, the source of a cup that runs over, is within the quiet still waters of your soul. From there you’ll find more love than you’ll ever need, enough to give away, even to those who hurt you. That’s the divine source that overflows and supplies it all. Fill up, daily. Restorative succulence is quiet meditation of mind and soul, led by the calmness from within. That’s your voice of reason.

The further you drift from the voice, the softer it gets, and depletion returns. Drifting from that voice leads to unplugged, half-hearted existing, where you barely have enough energy to just wake up in the morning. If you’re atrophied on the inside, spend time in silence, and don’t remove yourself until that still, small voice returns. When you hear that voice of reason, pay attention and the flow of abundance will trickle in. It will enliven you, and you’ll be back on the path of overflowing prosperity. Keep going there, and renew it daily until you have more than enough to give away.
