It’s all love.

There is a strange and blurry difference in the so-called boundary between death and birth. Into one opening form decays and is entombed. From the opposite side of that darkness is a womb where form materializes again, but anew. But what about the space in between? It’s dark. Physicality withers into the darkness. But it also expands from the same darkness. There is no difference.

Think of it this way. Wherever you come from, you shall return. The points of to and from are identical. It’s just that we fear the “to,” and it shouldn’t be feared. We fear death’s march to the darkness. But darkness is also a place of new birth, as safe and as wonderful as a mother’s womb – nourishing, comforting, and completely surrounded by unconditional love in all directions.

There will be moments in your life that move you into what seems like entombment. That darkness is not to be feared. It is your sanctuary. Once you get cocooned, allow the life-force to get to work on your metamorphosis. Whilst in the darkness, be. Be still. Let the love surround you. Let the energy of the divine cuddle you, and pull you towards its bosom of nourishment. And when you’re ready, lift up your head, but in the opposite direction from where you came, and look for the new light. Move confidently towards it. Like the darkness, it too, should not be feared, even if only a small opening at first. You may not see where it’s going, but move. It’s birthing you anew. It wants to give you aliveness. It wants to embrace you in a new kind of creative expression. Trust the darkness and the light. The two coexist as the one, eternal space. That’s because there is no difference. The light and the dark are all the same to love.
