Your deepest, fundamental longings and natural proclivities are yours. Your life is a custom fit. Why does the universe implant ideas within us and traits that are uniquely ours? I’m not sure, but I do know that life is about conforming to your naturalness, giving in to who you are, and following through on your desires and dreams. Conforming to who you are is paying attention to when you know something is right, to when you know it’s time to take action, and to when you know it’s time to change. That kind of knowing is a deeper, confirming knowledge that just feels right. You have to learn to trust in your own feelings of rightness. No one on the planet can tell you what’s right for you, that’s your job. The advice you seek is your own feeling of confirmation.
Confirmation follows conforming. When you conform to who you are, you begin to comply with the rules or “laws” of what makes you uniquely, you. Conforming is being in agreement with everything that makes you, you, even your physical characteristics, your own desires, your personalized dreams, and even your past, no matter what it looks like. Conforming to who you were meant to be doesn’t feel like a fight. That’s confrontation. When you confront yourself, you try to change your fundamental nature. That’s a fight that you’ll never win.
The universe meant something when it created you. It meant for you to be here, in mind and body, and with the circumstances that you find yourself in. The universe meant for you to have ideas, dreams, proclivities, etc. It meant for you to explore your curiosities, not to ignore them or to undermine them, or to wish they weren’t there. Your personality, your desires, your inklings are not random, nor frivolous, they’re yours. Conform to them. Following your own path of truth, that’s where the universe is taking you, so don’t try to confront it. Go with it. Conform to it. Make peace with it, no matter what it looks like or how much work it takes. There is no greater reward than honoring your truth!
