What do you need to come to terms with?

What is it that you need to come to terms with in your life? What deeper yearnings are prompting you to make change, even radical change? The spirit wants you to break free from the cocoon that you’ve woven around yourself, one that is comfortable, predictable, and routine. The spirit wants you to do what is necessary, so it might light up, not dull down. Facing your fears might mean filing for divorce, saying “I quit,” or making better choices for your well-being. There are things in your life that you are deeply afraid of doing, but you know are necessary for your wellness, prosperity, and fulfillment. If you don’t respond to that gut-level prompt, you’ll feel trapped, confused, dull, and routine.

The yearnings of your spirit are wanting you to eat better, to feel better, to do better, and to have people in your life that bring out your best self – not your worst nightmare. The spirit knows the path to fulfillment, so stop digging your heels in the mud and resisting its direction. Take inventory of what works in your life, and what does not. Do an inner audit, and start paying attention to what your spirit loves, what lights it up, what makes you creative, and what turns you off, dulls you down, and what pisses you off. Stop moving towards what irritates you or makes you feel guilty, and regretful. Move away from what turns your inner energy down, and follow that which brings your inner energy up. Try different things, and see how your inner self responds them. You’ll never truly be fulfilled until you discern the inner call of what you need to do, and what you need to change, even if it scares the crap out of you. Coming to terms with fear and making the changes you need to make will allow your spirit to soar – finally.
