Envy is a toxin. Anger is a toxin. Boredom is a toxin. Impatience is a toxin. Frustration is a toxin, and so on. Get rid of the poison to begin the process of healing. Think of everything that you take in (people, beliefs, music, media, food), in terms of its nutritional value. Is what you take in healing you, or is it making you sick?
What we desire to take in or to “consume” must contain wholesome ingredients in order to provide real sustenance. Nourishing thoughts, uplifting experiences and people, healthy foods, and inner peacefulness can be your path to better health. We can heal ourselves by applying a tourniquet to the flow of negativity that is trying to make its way towards us, and out of us. The flow of negativity is coming from ourselves and from what we allow to take into our minds (media, social media, TV, etc.).
The world is polluted enough already – don’t pollute your inner being, and your body with things that destroy. Rather, be a source of nutrition; a source of life; a source of energy; and a source of love. Optimize life by nourishing your mind, body, and soul with the goodness that lies within and all around. The world is filled with so many good choices – don’t ignore them anymore. Put yourself in situations that give life, that build you up, and surround yourself with things and with people that help you heal. Eat foods that give life, that build you up, and that make you feel proud of your choices. Become an active healer by minimizing the toxins that you consume! Healing yourself from poor choices will allow you the strength you need to be a source of healing to others. Become a practitioner of healing by becoming more attuned to what you take in, what choices you make, and what you give out into the world. Prioritize nutrition; prioritize healing; and prioritize love. The world needs this kind of restorative “medicine” more than anything else.
