The mind only seems rigid, inflexible, and hard to bend. But the mindset is a concept, and concepts are not real. Negative emotions are a result of negative mindsets, and positive emotions are a result of positive mindsets. If the mindset is changeable, there is hope for your reality.
You can let go of rigid perceptions. Most of your mental inflexibility is about holding on too tightly to thoughts that discourage, holding onto fear that dissuades you, or clinging to the past that haunts you. Being negative is also a form of attention-getting, which makes it hard to let go. When we’re down, it seems to get people’s attention. But the attention you receive is a form of pity – is that what you really want from people?
Your mindset is not Alcatraz, it’s not locked and sealed forever. Your mindset is free, malleable, and changeable. Even the most influential people in the world can be persuaded, they can be softened, and they can be changed. If you don’t release your grasp of negativity or whatever is holding you back, life will shake you into a new mindset through challenging circumstance. Life has a way of breaking stubborn mindsets. Why not let it go before life’s challenges bring you to your knees? The key is to be open, to allow the mind to change. Mindsets are what hold people back, not circumstance. Release the mindsets that are shortchanging you, and be open to new things, new ideas, and new realities. Allow what is to be what is, but don’t hold onto it too long. It will change. The freedom comes from not getting locked in or too comfortable with rigid perceptions. Step back, and be at ease, be curious about what’s possibly holding you back, and the universe will show you the way. But keep an open mind, the new path that the universe shows you will always be for your own good!
