The successful are willing. They have a willingness to be more patient than others. They have a willingness to work just a little harder than others. They have a willingness to try just a few more times, before others would have given up. They have a willingness to wait if necessary, to move if necessary, to adapt if necessary, when others resist. Those who are willing, don’t mind the inconvenience; don’t avoid the work; or don’t get sour waiting for the right time.
Those who are willing to wait enthusiastically, for when it’s necessary, are the ones who receive the most valuable payoffs. It’s those who are totally willing to be inconvenienced, without a negative attitude, that win – big time. If you want predictability, and to remain in your comfort zone, there won’t be any payoffs. If you want everything now, at your beck and call – the payoffs are piddly. But if you’re willing, then lookout!
The remarkable believe in their vision, and that’s all it takes. They are willing to put in the time, and to work long hours, if need be. They’re willing to wait for the skill to develop, if need be. They are willing to be upended, inconvenienced, or to change, if need be. The willing have the winning formula for success – they love doing whatever it takes for the perfect payoff. They know beyond a shadow of a doubt, that their vision will come to pass, and that it’s just a matter of moving in, when the time is right. Waiting doesn’t phase those who are willing, neither does hard work, inconvenience, or radical change. It’s all done with a smile, and the good nature of knowing that it will come to pass, in due season.
