The power of belief. Take a closer look.

Every once in a while, examine your beliefs. Beliefs can hide in your thoughts, linger in the back of your mind, and come out in the words that you speak and in your actions. Beliefs are hidden in plain sight. They manifest as feelings, attitudes, and in how you present yourself to the world. They come out in the language that you use. People know your beliefs by reading in-between the lines of your messages, in your body language, and in your eyes and facial expressions. The world knows what you believe.

Do you see people who believe that they are absolute trash, by how they present themselves in the world? Do you see people who believe they are above others, by how they treat them? Do you see people who believe that their time is more important than yours, cutting you off in traffic, pushing and shoving their way to first place? Do you see people who believe that they cannot control their weight? Do you see people who believe that the best that they can do is to beg on the street corner? Do you see people who believe that their actions and choices are a disability? Are you one of those people?

Negative beliefs are often buried in the recesses of the mind, and changing them seems like the greatest challenge of the 21st century. Hopelessness is an ingrained belief that must be changed. Look at yourself in the mirror, look deep into your eyes, and say, “You are magnificent, and you are worthy of prosperity.” Does that feel untrue? Untruths are beliefs. What kinds of lies do you believe about the person in the mirror? Oh that you could start believing in more! What a world we could create!
