We all want love, and we often try to avoid the experiences that come with it. Love is perfect, but people are not, and therein lies the problem. The power of love is always present, but because people are in different stages of understanding this, it’s often hard to peacefully coexist with them. You can’t show others how to do better, love has to show them. Love has to show us how to cry. It has to soften hard edges.
Love is always the answer. The past cannot answer your problem, but love can. The ego cannot stand against conflict, but love can. The mind cannot solve the contentious issue, but love can. It’s ultimately love that allows you to forgive. It’s ultimately love that can allow you to drop it, or to hold your tongue. It’s love that transcends conflict, and is what stops bickering. Love is what allows you to be silent when your anger wants to lash out. Love is the way to stop the insidious, degenerative rhetoric. Love always prompts you towards the right actions.
When you’re high and mighty, let love knock you down a notch. When you’re lonely and destitute, let love inspire you towards a gesture of kindness towards someone else in need, even if they’ve hurt you. When you’re hurt and bitter, let love help you to forgive and to let go. The power of love is what brings you back to yourself, back on course – the sweet release from the whirlwind of emotions that can occur between people. When you’re rattled around, grab a hold of love’s hand, and let it guide you out of the storm. It works every time.
