Your vast intelligence is what separates you from all other animals. Aside from the mind, you can find everything else about a human in a pig! That’s something truly remarkable, yet many of us don’t recognize the great gift of our minds. The mind is like soil, and whatever you plant in it will flourish. You can plant poison ivy, weeds, or nourishing crops. The mind doesn’t care, but will grow whatever you cultivate in that head of yours.
Thoughts are seeds that become ingrained if you repeat them, ruminate upon them, and talk about them. So many people have limiting thoughts. Not only do most people think about limits, they argue for them. Everyone “knows” how hard something is; how unlikely it is; or how much time it will take. But hardly anybody understands it’s just as easy to think about what’s possible, if it is in your heart of hearts. The mind will grow whatever you plant in it, and it does that with the same amount of ease.
99% of the people will be able to tell you why something is not possible or how unlikely it is to happen. And so we buy into that. That’s called conformity. Thinking like everyone else is simply following the wrong compass. Your destiny is to plant seeds of greatness and to think for yourself. Any flash of inspiration is your seed. Plant it. Don’t follow the crowd, they’re busy sifting through weeds. They’re planting poison, arguing for their own limitations. That is not your destiny. Follow your own heart, and allow that dream to take root. This is how great people achieve marvelous things, they follow the seeds of prosperity, and they guard their minds. Your mind is fertile, empty, open, and ready. Plant something worth multiplying. Limits deplete the soil. Clear your mind, and start a new garden today.
