The impulsive mind creates problems. The peaceful mind sees the spontaneity in every moment which then creates an infinite number of options. With an open and peaceful mind, you can choose to be more engaging in your conversations. You can choose to be more friendly with your encounters. You can choose to do something nice for yourself. There are potentially better options for you today. But a hasty, impulsive, stressed out mind will be blind to them. A stressed mind sees limits.
You’ll be faced with any number of decisions today. What to eat, what to wear, what to say, what to do. If all of those choices are born out of rigid routine, impulsiveness, or they are made through a mental veil of agitation, chances are you won’t pick the best of an infinite number of options. You’ll be hasty because you see limits. The agitated mind tells you to do what’s familiar because that’s all it “knows.” But if you pause, even for a millisecond, you might be able to ponder something better, even if just to calm down for a while and come back to it.
Better choices require clarity and a sense of spontaneity. Don’t let your stressed out mind limit choice. Give yourself some space to make better selections with how you decide to use your time, what you decide to eat, or how you engage with others today. Be selective, but always pick peace as a basis for your decision-making. A quiet openness reveals better options and life feels more free and spontaneous. Better options come to a quiet and open mind. Practice making better choices, and watch the miraculous transformation in your life’s results!
