How can a person claim anything as their own? We don’t know the origins of the universe, ourselves, our souls, our bodies, yet we say those things are “mine.” That false concept of “me” extends into our material goods, and in some cases people. But when they are taken away, and they always will be, we suffer. Ultimately all things will be taken away, keep that truth close to your heart.
We simply have no claim on anything, not even our “own” ideas, our “own” souls, bodies and lives. Nobody knows where anything originates, no more than we know where the universe originated. But, most people spend their lives guarding and protecting what they see as theirs. They never express or give because they think if they do, they’ll never have more. But life is an expression, an ongoing giving that never expires. Good ideas, inspiration, and abundance are not in short supply.
Everybody has access to the unknown realm of potential, where all things, seen and unseen, originate – even brilliant ideas that touch the world. But you’re not the author of those ideas. You are simply the channel through which they are expressed in this world. You are an expression of divinity. Mimic that beautiful expressiveness in your own life, which just gives freely. If you have something to express, give it away by writing amazing words. If you have something good to express with your body, give it away by dancing, or by playing a musical instrument. Getting better at those things will make you feel good. Uplift others by expressing yourself with some skill (cooking, mothering, dancing, writing), devote yourself to getting better at it, and you’ll feel the fullness of life! If you haven’t anything good to express, then just be. The divine is expressing love through you. Tune into that inner channel, and copy it.
